A little bit about myself...

I'm an Emergency Medicine resident physician with advanced education in healthcare innovation and global medicine. In my career, I have walked three paths: one of service, one of creativity, and one of knowledge. My experiences advocating for my refugee patients at home and working abroad on projects sanctioned by UNICEF and the WHO have taught me that innovative digital solutions can be used to enhance healthcare quality and improve health outcomes around the world.

Along my journey, I've spearheaded efforts to bring technology into medical education by co-founding the AR/VR Lab at Jefferson's Digital Innovation and Consumer Experience Group. With the support of the incredible teams I work with, I lead the first research study of its kind examining virtual reality (VR) in outpatient cardiac rehabilitation and I invented an innovative and immersive simulator that uses VR to to train healthcare providers to manage acute cardiac events.

I'm excited to bring my background in intercultural health and healthcare innovation to my clinical practice as a resident physician in Emergency Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Working in a county hospital that primarily serves Houston's underprivileged population, I'm excited to provide quality care for my patients and enhance their experiences within the larger healthcare system.
